Karl H. Berger

Karl H. Berger is the City Attorney for the city of Santa Paula and the Assistant City Attorney for the city of El Segundo. Before joining Jenkins & Hogin, Mr. Berger was a partner with Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP. During his tenure with BW&S, Mr. Berger also served as Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Santa Clarita and Camarillo. His additional experience includes four years with the San Buenaventura (Ventura) City Attorney’s office as a Deputy and then Assistant City Attorney; two years with McDougal, Love, Eckis & Grindle, LLP, working primarily as an attorney for the city of El Cajon; and as an attorney with D. Dwight Worden & Associates in Solana Beach. Mr. Berger was a member of the Legal Advocacy Executive Committee with the League of California Cities. He also previously served on the Housing, Community & Economic Development Policy Committee with the League of California Cities.

Mr. Berger earned his law degree from Creighton University and his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis.
